This compounded ointment combines Diltiazem 2%, a calcium channel blocker with vasodilating properties, and Lidocaine 4%, a local anesthetic. Together, they help relax smooth muscle to improve local blood flow while providing numbing to ease discomfort. Apply a pea-sized amount rectally twice daily.
