This compounded oral suspension combines Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, Mylanta (an antacid), and Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid, to help soothe oral discomfort and reduce inflammation, such as that caused by mouth sores or mucositis. Swish and spit 5 mL by mouth every 4–6 hours.
